Physiotherapist, Research Experience – Virtual Clinical Study

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the Principal Investigator for a completely virtual clinical trial focusing on a balance-training device designed for individuals recovering from ankle sprains.

• Ensure that the study is conducted with scientific rigor and ethical integrity.

• Approve the study protocol and the submission to the Research Ethics Board (REB).

• Supervise participant safety and the reporting of any adverse events.

• Address questions from the REB throughout the duration of the study.

• Provide training to research assistants regarding functional assessments.

• Oversee the research assistants’ interactions with participants.

• Contribute to authorship of the publication that results from the study.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a licensed physiotherapist or physician in good standing in Canada.

• Previous experience as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on an REB-approved human-subject study is essential.

• A clinical or research background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation is required.

• Experience with foot and ankle conditions is a significant advantage.

• Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification is necessary, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it before the submission to the REB.

• Availability of 5 to 15 hours per week from October until the study concludes is required.

• Must be reachable within one business day for safety and REB-related inquiries.
