Virtual Class A CDL Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Instruct students on CDL knowledge through virtual classroom teaching, focusing on permit preparation and driving theory.

• Offer detailed guidance on CDL subjects, encompassing safety regulations and requirements based on FMCSA.

• Ensure that students are adequately prepared to meet CDL permit testing standards.

• Encourage safety and professionalism throughout all instructional activities.

• Monitor student attendance and participation, providing assistance as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress.

• Facilitate clear communication and support to help students grasp course material effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must either reside in the state of application or have secured housing for relocation.

• Hold a valid CDL Class A license.

• Possess a minimum of 24 months of verified driving experience with tractor-trailers.

• Maintain a safe driving record.

• Capable of passing a DOT physical examination and drug/alcohol screening.

• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Salesforce, Zoom, Canvas, and Microsoft Outlook.

• Excellent communication abilities with the capacity to manage a virtual classroom environment.

• Ability to remain organized and handle multiple students in an online setting.

• Preferred experience in teaching, mentoring, or training drivers, though not mandatory.

• Driver Training Instructor certification preferred if mandated by the state; assistance with certification is available.

• Experience with virtual instruction or online learning platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and CDL permit requirements is advantageous.
