Virtual Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee low- to moderate-complexity claims related to residential and commercial properties from the initial contact to the final report.

• Handle claims from the moment they are assigned until closure, ensuring client deadlines are met.

• Perform virtual investigations for both residential and commercial property claims.

• Analyze policies, endorsements, claim forms, and other relevant documentation to assess coverage and exposure.

• Create repair and rebuild estimates utilizing Xactimate.

• Develop comprehensive claim reports and maintain precise file notes.

• Clearly communicate the status of claims with clients and insured parties.

• Accurately track billable hours.

• Identify potential subrogation opportunities.

• Maintain necessary licenses.

• Effectively manage a high-volume caseload independently.

• Fulfill turnaround time, reporting compliance, and file quality expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.

• Must be able to obtain an adjuster license within 45 days; Capstone will sponsor licensing.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Previous experience in property claims, construction, restoration, mitigation, or other time-sensitive environments is preferred.

• Preferred experience with Xactimate; training will be provided.

• Bilingual skills and/or military experience are advantageous.

• A dedicated workspace and reliable high-speed internet are required.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload.

• Proactive communication and follow-up abilities.

• Comfortable working under deadlines and progressing claims toward resolution.

• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.

• Good judgment when handling incomplete information.

• Open to coaching and able to quickly implement feedback.

• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

• Comfortable with learning new software and using Microsoft Office.

• Self-motivated and assertive in making contact and pursuing scheduling.
