Virtual Care Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +33 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual consultations with pet owners through video and asynchronous messaging.

• Examine medical histories, symptoms, and treatment concerns using Dutch’s digital platform.

• Establish a valid Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) when necessary and assess the appropriateness of telemedicine.

• Offer evidence-based treatment recommendations, including prescriptions when clinically justified.

• Communicate clearly, compassionately, and attentively in every interaction.

• Thoroughly document encounters utilizing Dutch’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• Collaborate with Dutch’s clinical leadership team as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary institution or met the necessary requirements to practice in the United States.

• Hold an active license in one or more states where Dutch operates.

• Maintain a license in good standing, free from malpractice or disciplinary actions.

• Possess 5+ years of clinical experience post-graduation.

• Have a quiet, professional environment and reliable internet for video consultations.

• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrate a collaborative and compassionate approach to veterinary care.

• Be comfortable using telehealth tools and managing consultations independently.

• To prescribe medication, Dutch veterinarians must be licensed in one or more of the specified states.
