Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide remote patient care utilizing a virtual technology platform.

• Independently conduct comprehensive, evidence-based assessments, diagnoses, treatments, health problem management, health counseling, and disposition planning.

• Offer counseling on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, safer sex practices, contraceptive care, and medication management.

• Assess primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients aged 18 months and older.

• Educate patients about health maintenance and address patient care inquiries.

• Record patient care in the EHR in accordance with MinuteClinic policies and procedures.

• Coordinate care with both internal and external colleagues, including the wider patient-centered medical home.

• Collaborate within a patient care team comprising Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.

• Operate independently, prioritize tasks, solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients and the practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted license in any US state or district.

• Willingness and capability to secure additional licensure as necessary.

• At least two years of medically relevant experience or an equivalent background.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Initiative, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and flexibility.

• Capacity to work independently and practice autonomously.

• Proficient in information management and technology.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with professional colleagues.

• Depending on the market, proficiency in speaking and writing additional languages, including Spanish, may be necessary.

• Completion of a Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current National Board Certification.

• State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role.

• Broadband internet connection.

• Ability to maintain patient privacy per CVSH guidelines.

• Availability to work 20+ hours per week, including some weekends.
