This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Model and train team members in the Positive Behavior Support methodology.

• Contribute as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams, offering behavioral expertise.

• Evaluate, design, train, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans.

• Perform descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and interpret results behaviorally.

• Deliver direct behavioral treatment through replacement-skills training, social-skills training, crisis de-escalation, group and individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for addressing behavior issues.

• Oversee the use of restraint and provide training aimed at reducing it.

• Monitor challenging behaviors.

• Engage in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees as assigned.

• Provide tailored services that address the treatment needs of specialty intermediate care clinic patients, complying with applicable 902 KAR 20:410 requirements.

• Acquire and adhere to all policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

• Licensed in the state of Missouri.

• Specialized training and/or experience in fundamental applied behavior principles, including plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.

• Two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavior supports through courses, seminars, conferences, and/or training from the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

• Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is mandatory.

• Proficient in recording and entering data neatly, accurately, and objectively, in line with Oakwood requirements.

• Capable of reading and understanding simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

• Ability to compose simple correspondence.

• Skilled in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small-group settings.

• Able to apply common-sense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions.

• Capable of making independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.

• Knowledgeable in and able to demonstrate approved crisis-management procedures.
