Virtual BCaBA – Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Train and model Positive Behavior Support methodology for staff.

• Contribute to Interdisciplinary Teams by providing behavioral expertise.

• Evaluate, design, implement, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans.

• Perform descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analysis, and interpret findings.

• Deliver direct behavioral treatment through replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, and both group and individual behavioral treatment, along with skills coaching.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for addressing behavior issues.

• Oversee restraint usage and provide training aimed at reducing it.

• Monitor and assess challenging behavior.

• Engage in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees.

• Deliver tailored services to patients in specialty intermediate care clinics while adhering to applicable 902 KAR 20:410 regulations.

• Comply with all policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

• Specialized training and/or experience in fundamental applied behavior principles, including plan implementation, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.

• Two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training related to behavior supports.

• Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is mandatory.

• Must possess a valid license in Missouri.

• Capability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

• Skill in writing simple correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group contexts.

• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions.

• Capacity to make independent decisions with sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to participate in and exhibit knowledge of recognized crisis management procedures.

• Proficiency in recording and entering data neatly, accurately, and objectively.
