This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee projects that promote the application of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice alongside the Continuous Professional Learning Program.

• Perform research to guide the development of policies, programs, and resources.

• Work collaboratively with various departments to create, distribute, and enhance understanding of professional practice materials.

• Tackle practice issues from a prevention-oriented viewpoint.

• Address inquiries from members and the public regarding intricate practice matters.

• Participate in planning and operational activities at both the College-wide and departmental levels.

• Draft reports, briefing notes, correspondence, position papers, and presentations for executives, Council, and committees.

• Lead presentations, workshops, and consultations with members and sector partners.

• Act as a representative of the College or department on both external and internal committees and working groups.

• Provide expert staff support to the Standards of Practice Committee.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a four-year college or university program in early childhood education or a related discipline (e.g., education, social sciences).

• Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in the early learning and child care sector.

• Familiarity with the Early Childhood Educators Act, 2007, Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, and the Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Program.

• Strong research, analytical, and judgment skills for conducting research, analyzing data, and formulating recommendations.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• Proficient written communication skills for crafting presentations, briefing notes, reports, and practice resources.

• Excellent verbal communication, public speaking/presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
