Video Content Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Take charge of River's video content process by generating and assessing video concepts.

• Gather insights from the marketing team and River's research.

• Manage and experiment with video titles and thumbnails.

• Create medium- to long-form scripts focused on money and Bitcoin subjects, including both host-led and animated formats.

• Develop engaging hooks and introductions to captivate the audience and enhance structure.

• Oversee story editing and provide direction to video editors and hosts regarding structure, pacing, and cuts.

• Drive key YouTube performance metrics such as view count, audience retention, and returning viewer rates.

• Establish systems for maintaining consistent quality in content production, including managing an idea backlog, filtering ideas, scripting, and testing titles/thumbnails.

• Report to River's Director of Marketing and collaborate with the Host-Producer, marketing team, and company leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in growing a video channel, whether personal or one you have led.

• Demonstrated capability to create ideas and packaging that effectively increase views and retention.

• Extensive knowledge of video titles and thumbnails, with examples showcasing this skill.

• Excellent writing and storytelling skills.

• Strong understanding of the YouTube algorithm, retention metrics, and click-through rates.

• Solid grasp of Bitcoin from an economic perspective.

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for concepts and outcomes.

• Integrity and the ability to represent facts truthfully and the brand professionally.

• Experience in front of the camera, interviewing, or hosting (preferred).

• Background in finance, economics, or journalism (preferred).
