This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and oversee LifeStance’s editorial ecosystem, directing the editorial voice, storytelling, and content strategy across various channels.
• Take charge of the enterprise content strategy, encompassing content pillars, audience priorities, editorial standards, voice, tone, and storytelling methodology.
• Create and manage a 12-month content strategy along with a 90-day execution calendar.
• Lead the annual content planning process and set up a quarterly review schedule.
• Own and refine the editorial style guide.
• Coordinate content priorities with marketing, PR, social media, reputation management, clinical, growth, business development, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct editorial planning meetings and oversee the intake of cross-functional content requests.
• Provide guidance on content repurposing across owned, earned, shared, paid, internal, and partner channels.
• Uphold editorial voice and quality standards across different channels and audiences.
• Evaluate content for strategic alignment, brand voice consistency, audience clarity, messaging coherence, and business objectives.
• Collaborate with clinical, legal, compliance, and communications stakeholders to ensure content is accurate and responsibly produced.
• Formulate an enterprise thought leadership strategy aligned with brand reputation, clinical expertise, business objectives, and category leadership.
• Identify key themes, audiences, and opportunities for distinctive thought leadership.
• Transform expertise into external narratives with clinical leaders, executives, PR, content, social, and marketing teams.
• Establish thought leadership platforms that support earned media, owned content, sponsored content, speaking engagements, executive visibility, and clinician storytelling.
• Maintain a pipeline of thought leadership topics, contributors, proof points, and activation opportunities.
• Act as a strategic partner in content and storytelling across marketing, PR, clinical, operations, human resources, business development, mergers & acquisitions, and executive stakeholders.
• Convert enterprise priorities into audience-relevant messaging, content plans, campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Promote alignment on editorial priorities, timing, channel strategies, audience needs, and desired outcomes.
• Develop processes that enhance collaboration and minimize redundant efforts.
• Ensure that content facilitates patient acquisition, clinician engagement, referral credibility, reputation management, recruiting, business development, and internal cohesion.
• Manage content KPIs, performance reporting, and measurement recommendations.
• Utilize performance data, audience insights, search behaviors, reputation inputs, and stakeholder feedback to guide editorial choices.
• Enhance content effectiveness, audience engagement, discoverability, repurposing, and overall business contribution.
• Create reports on content and thought leadership contributions towards awareness, trust, engagement, reputation, and growth.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in content strategy, editorial strategy, brand storytelling, communications, thought leadership, integrated marketing, or related fields.
• Candidates must be legally eligible for employment in the United States.
• Demonstrated awareness, inclusivity, sensitivity, humility, and experience collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, consumer health, or regulated industries is strongly preferred.
• Strong editorial judgment along with experience in creating content strategies, editorial calendars, voice standards, and governance models.
• Exceptional skills in written, verbal, visual, and video communication.
• Capability to translate complex clinical, business, and brand priorities into storytelling relevant to the audience.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with clinical, legal, compliance, PR, marketing, growth, social media, reputation, business development, and executive teams.
• Strong comprehension of the role content plays in brand awareness, trust, reputation, discoverability, patient acquisition, clinician engagement, and enterprise growth.
• Familiarity with using data, insights, search behaviors, and performance reporting to shape content strategy.
• Strong project management abilities and capacity to lead complex workstreams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, talk, hear, walk, and lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, as well as the ability to adjust focus.
