This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the content initiatives within WEKA's digital team, encompassing the website, YouTube, LinkedIn, newsletters, the Deep Geeks podcast, and various online communities.

• Create a comprehensive content strategy and programming across diverse formats.

• Identify compelling story angles, guide writers in shaping content, and bring narratives to life across different mediums.

• Take ownership of content production, audience engagement, and performance metrics across owned channels.

• Transform high-quality materials into articles, video clips, newsletter features, and resource pages.

• Collaborate with social media and video leads, the web team, SEO and GEO specialists, customer advocacy, communications, and creative teams.

• Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring it serves as the definitive resource for publishing schedules, content ownership, and sequencing.

• Establish a consistent publishing rhythm, proactively identify risks, and refresh or phase out outdated content.

• Enhance search rankings, LLM citations, internal linking, and overall content structure.

• Optimize AI-enabled production workflows for writers and the wider team.

• Track metrics such as velocity, freshness, engagement, organic traffic, and LLM referrals to inform decision-making.

• Supervise contract writers with clear briefs, constructive feedback, established standards, and support for their development.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Digital.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in editorial, journalism, or content strategy and management roles.

• Proven experience in B2B technology.

• Proficiency in writing, story development, hands-on production, and directing writers, freelancers, or agency resources.

• Experience managing a dynamic editorial calendar across multiple formats and numerous stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of AI, cloud, or data infrastructure to engage in discussions about inference and memory.

• Daily utilization of AI tools, including the creation of self-built workflows.

• Familiarity with SEO and generative engine optimization, internal linking, and content structure.

• Experience working collaboratively with designers, video producers, social media and SEO leads, subject matter experts, and standards owners.

• A keen story sense with published work, such as a newsletter, podcast, video series, or bylines.

• Experience publishing in Sanity or another headless CMS is advantageous.

• Background in production within a newsroom, studio, publication, or branded media team is a plus.

• Experience in making a federated content operation predictable is beneficial.
