Senior Content Strategist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee extensive content audits utilizing crawl data, analytics, SEO insights, and qualitative evaluations.

• Organize, merge, and examine large content datasets to uncover trends, gaps, and prioritized suggestions.

• Develop or modify tools and workflows through coding, scripts, automation, or lightweight prototypes.

• Confirm tool outputs and document workflows for future use.

• Create information architecture, navigation systems, taxonomy, and content requirements for search.

• Offer recommendations on content hierarchy and messaging at the page level.

• Generate content prioritization guides, polished presentations, and informative visuals.

• Share recommendations, integrate feedback, and collaborate with design, development, and client teams.

• Manage designated workstreams and independently present projects to clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in content strategy, preferably within an agency or consultancy environment.

• A portfolio showcasing work on complex websites.

• Proven experience evaluating sites with thousands of pages and transforming disorganized or incomplete data into actionable recommendations.

• Proficient knowledge of Screaming Frog, web analytics platforms, and SEO research tools, along with the ability to interpret and synthesize their outputs.

• Hands-on experience using Codex, Claude, or Figma Make for problem-solving, automation, or ideation.

• Strong judgment in reviewing tool outputs and managing client data.

• Capability to identify inefficient workflows and create or modify improved processes.

• Technical proficiency in structured data and web fundamentals.

• Desirable familiarity with GitHub and basic scripting or development skills such as Python, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS.

• Exceptional skills in presentation design, storytelling, client communication, and documentation.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
