Video Annotation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Review brief video and audio segments spanning various content categories.

• Analyze visual and auditory components for thorough annotation and evaluation.

• Consistently apply project-specific labels and assessment criteria.

• Identify events, objects, actions, speech, sounds, and other content characteristics.

• Ensure high annotation accuracy when handling repetitive, high-volume tasks.

• Evaluate AI-generated descriptions in relation to the corresponding video and audio content.

• Confirm that generated outputs accurately represent the source material.

• Detect factual inaccuracies, omissions, inconsistencies, and vague descriptions.

• Assess outputs in accordance with project guidelines and quality benchmarks.

• Highlight content that requires clarification or does not meet project requirements.

• Provide clear written feedback regarding inaccuracies, uncertainties, and annotation challenges.

• Justify evaluation decisions when further explanation is necessary.

• Assist in quality-assurance initiatives to enhance annotation reliability.

• Adhere to annotation protocols, project directives, and data-handling standards.

• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and other team members.

• Adapt to new annotation tools, guidelines, and changing quality standards.

• Identify recurring workflow or annotation challenges and propose practical solutions.

• Uphold data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in data annotation, data labeling, content moderation, or similar review roles.

• Previous experience with video or audio data is highly preferred.

• Strong English communication abilities, capable of providing clear written and verbal feedback.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the capacity to maintain consistent judgment in repetitive tasks.

• Familiarity with content review, generalist training, or guideline-based evaluation is a plus.

• Comfortable working independently and reliably in a remote project setting.

• Ability to quickly learn new annotation tools, protocols, and quality standards.

• Strong commitment to data accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to processes.

• Adaptable mindset towards changing project requirements and annotation standards.

• No previous experience in AI research or model training is necessary.

• Work must be performed in compliance with relevant confidentiality and data-handling mandates.
