Vice President, Strategic Partnerships – Development

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Collaborate directly with the President & CEO to enhance and implement CCSA's philanthropic strategy.

β€’ Act as the organization's chief strategist and project manager for philanthropy initiatives.

β€’ Formulate strategies for major donors and foundations.

β€’ Develop and oversee the prospect pipeline.

β€’ Create persuasive proposals and donor materials.

β€’ Coordinate fundraising efforts across various teams.

β€’ Ensure disciplined execution and follow-through on initiatives.

β€’ Refine CCSA's fundraising priorities and convert strategic initiatives into donor-ready investment opportunities.

β€’ Assist the President & CEO in cultivating and managing the organization's most valuable donor relationships.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Around 10 or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in fundraising, philanthropy, public affairs, government relations, nonprofit leadership, strategy, consulting, executive support, chief of staff roles, or a related field.

β€’ Proven track record of leading complex initiatives and achieving results through influence, collaboration, and strong execution.

β€’ Outstanding writing abilities, including experience in preparing proposals, briefing materials, executive communications, or other persuasive written documents.

β€’ Willingness to travel, including overnight trips, to attend donor meetings, conferences, organizational events, staff retreats, and support other CCSA-related activities as required.

β€’ Experience in managing executive-level relationships and coordinating complex projects among multiple stakeholders.

β€’ Demonstrated ability to cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, institutional funders, and philanthropic partners; experience with advocacy organizations, membership organizations, or public policy environments is highly preferred.

β€’ A bachelor's or master's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, public policy, communications, or a related field is preferred.

β€’ Knowledge of California education, advocacy, or nonprofit organizations is preferred.
