Assistant Vice President – Technology, Data Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing of data.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy, architecture, and best practices.

• Spearhead initiatives to enhance data engineering solutions within the organization.

• Utilize a deep understanding of core systems and operations within retail banking.

• Manage and optimize data-heavy systems across regions including UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and others.

• Generate new requirements for both on-premises and cloud-based data lakes.

• Assess efforts, design solutions, and oversee data architecture for efficient management of data.

• Facilitate change release management and allocate resources effectively for data projects.

• Provide essential applications that impact bank management decisions and regulatory compliance.

• Ensure the security of data and adherence to applicable regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering, demonstrating a successful history in leading data strategy and architecture.

• Proficiency in core systems, retail banking applications, and data-intensive solutions.

• Strong familiarity with Enterprise Data Lake, Azure Data Lake, and other pertinent data platforms.

• Experience with business intelligence, advanced analytics, and real-time streaming technologies.

• Exceptional leadership and communication capabilities to direct and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Competence in estimating efforts, crafting effective solutions, and managing resources adeptly.

• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards within the banking sector.

• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to addressing complex data challenges.
