Vice President, Product Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Articulate the vision for the product design function and ensure alignment with the company’s mission and goals.

• Lead and expand a high-performing design organization.

• Mentor and cultivate design leaders while promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and growth.

• Supervise design strategies that foster innovation, improve user experience, and yield measurable business outcomes.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, engineering, and marketing teams.

• Integrate design across the product development lifecycle.

• Advocate for design thinking and user-centered product development.

• Establish KPIs to evaluate design initiatives and leverage data-driven insights to enhance results.

• Propel the development and expansion of a generative design system.

• Identify new design methods, tools, and technologies that provide a competitive edge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role overseeing large design teams.

• Experience with SaaS and Fintech platforms.

• Proven history of integrating AI and emerging technologies into organizational strategies and operations to drive innovation and scalability.

• Demonstrated success in leading design teams to create innovative, customer-centric products at scale.

• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and design systems.

• Experience in collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to influence product strategies and stimulate business growth.

• Exceptional leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and nurture a high-performance design team.

• Excellent communication and influence skills, capable of advocating for design at the executive level and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

• Strategic mindset that balances visionary design leadership with operational efficiency and execution.

• In-depth understanding of design metrics and data-driven decision-making.

• Knowledge and personal expertise in how designers effectively utilize AI within the agentic development process.
