Vice President of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Lead software engineering, DevOps, and data while serving on the executive team and reporting directly to the CEO.

• Take ownership of how Treasury Prime constructs, delivers, and operates its banking and fintech platform.

• Mentor and develop engineers, DevOps, data teams, and the engineering manager.

• Establish operational rhythms and standards, enhancing depth in DevOps and on-call practices.

• Collaborate with Automation & Operations to take responsibility for security, IT, and DevOps.

• Cultivate trusted relationships with banking, fintech, and product partners.

• Align engineering strategy with company objectives and customer outcomes.

• Enhance planning, prioritization, quality, and delivery predictability.

• Maintain a focus on customer issues through call reviews, implementation tasks, and collaboration with customers.

• Influence AI strategy alongside the CEO and VP of Product; identify and assess AI applications within regulated financial workflows.

• Contribute to the company's strategic direction and collaborate across Revenue, Client Services, Implementations, Compliance, and Operations.

• Direct architectural decisions, ensure reliability and incident response, and lead engineering's involvement in SOC 2, PCI, and bank partner security evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, including more than 3 years in leading engineering organizations through managerial roles.

• Previous experience as Head of Engineering (VP, Head of, or equivalent) with a position on an executive or senior leadership team.

• A solid technical background in backend systems, APIs, and distributed architecture.

• Proven experience in leading DevOps or infrastructure and data teams utilizing AWS.

• A history of building teams that attract and retain talent while guiding them through ongoing change and innovation.

• Practical experience in guiding a team through AI implementation.

• Ability to engage with a founder-CEO's vision, challenge it with evidence, and translate it into actionable plans for the team.

• Strong collaborative skills, particularly with sales and customer success functions.

• Experience in a regulated or security-sensitive sector such as fintech, payments, or banking.

• Adaptability to a small, fast-paced organization where leaders are both strategic and hands-on.
