This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota, +1 more state.
• Define and implement the strategic vision for the mRNA portfolio, ensuring accountability for growth, profitability, portfolio performance, and long-term business results.
• Set portfolio priorities, make investment decisions, formulate pricing strategies, and develop lifecycle plans that align with customer needs, market opportunities, and business goals.
• Convert customer insights, competitive intelligence, emerging technologies, and industry trends into unique value propositions and future portfolio roadmaps.
• Build, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing product management team through effective managers and senior leaders.
• Create governance processes that connect product strategy to operational plans, revenue growth, margin enhancement, innovation priorities, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with leaders from Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and Strategy to align resources, investments, capacity plans, and execution priorities.
• Act as the executive representative for the mRNA portfolio, influencing senior stakeholders, leading strategic decision-making, and engaging with key customers and industry partners.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related discipline is required.
• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Over 13 years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, commercial leadership, business strategy, or general management within life sciences, bioprocessing, genomic medicine, CDMO, mRNA, nucleic acids, biologics, or related fields.
• Proven experience in leading managers and senior professionals within a complex, matrixed business environment.
• Established ability to develop and implement portfolio strategy, manage product lifecycles, engage in market-back planning, and oversee cross-functional governance processes.
• Strong business and commercial insight with a track record of driving revenue growth, profitability, customer value, and competitive differentiation.
• History of influencing senior stakeholders and leading strategic decision-making across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams.
• Experience in resolving complex business challenges while balancing customer, technical, operational, regulatory, financial, and commercial factors.
• Direct experience in leading mRNA, genomic medicine, cell and gene therapy, biologics, or advanced therapeutics portfolios in a CDMO, biotech, or life sciences environment is a plus.
• Prior senior-level responsibility with a proven record of driving business growth, profitability, and strategic investment decisions is a plus.
• Experience in leading global commercial expansion, portfolio transformation, acquisitions/integrations, or new market entry initiatives in a highly regulated industry is a plus.
