This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement Gravie’s enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment of investments and priorities with business, product, and technology objectives.
• Discover opportunities to leverage healthcare and business data to better understand members, anticipate their needs, enhance navigation, and foster personalized experiences.
• Collaborate with clinical, actuarial, network, pharmacy, and operational leaders to pinpoint healthcare cost drivers and enhance utilization, provider performance, affordability, and overall cost of care.
• Create data products, insights, benchmarks, and services that generate customer value and reveal revenue opportunities.
• Establish Gravie’s data science capabilities for predictive insights, models, and decision-support functionalities.
• Guide the advancement of data architecture, pipelines, operational data stores, analytical platforms, and business intelligence capabilities.
• Initiate and lead the data governance function, subsequently developing a dedicated team.
• Identify and pursue practical artificial intelligence opportunities across products, member experiences, operations, and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and Clinical leaders on responsible AI and model governance.
• Strengthen the data engineering, architecture, and analytics organization while enhancing governance, data science, and data-product capabilities.
• Advise the CTO and executive leadership team on data strategy, investments, opportunities, and associated risks.
• Extensive leadership experience (10+ years) in enterprise data, analytics, data platforms, or data products.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is mandatory.
• Proven track record of working with complex health plan or benefits data, encompassing medical and pharmacy claims, member eligibility, provider and network information, utilization, and healthcare financial data.
• Proven experience in defining data strategy and developing capabilities, teams, and operating models.
• Hands-on leadership in data across enterprise strategy and intricate technical, analytical, and product-related decisions.
• Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen.
• Experience in applying analytics, data science, or artificial intelligence.
• Background in building or modernizing cloud data platforms, data pipelines, operational data stores, and analytical environments.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture, security, privacy, and contemporary data management practices.
• Experience in establishing or advancing enterprise data governance programs, including ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage, and access.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, protected health information, healthcare privacy, and de-identification principles.
• Experience supporting healthcare security, compliance, and audit programs such as HITRUST, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence executive, business, clinical, and technical teams.
• Collaborative leadership approach with the ability to foster alignment across technical, clinical, and business teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
