This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and refine Mission Lane’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and partnership strategy.
• Evaluate potential businesses for acquisition, partnership, or in-house development.
• Manage external advisors and banking relationships.
• Oversee opportunities from initial diligence through to negotiation.
• Assist in identifying potential exit strategies, such as IPOs, acquisitions, or other outcomes.
• Coordinate with partners and consolidate internal efforts for exit preparedness.
• Provide guidance to the core credit card division regarding gaps, opportunities, and long-term strategic direction.
• Be ready to spearhead new products, business lines, or acquisitions that emerge from these initiatives.
• Create materials and recommendations for strategic decisions made by senior leadership and the Board.
• Over 10 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or financial markets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to present to and instill confidence in senior leaders and Boards of Directors.
• Skill in leading and achieving results through influence within a matrixed organization without direct authority over all stakeholders.
• Proficiency in navigating ambiguity and structuring open-ended, undefined challenges.
• Proven history of quickly adapting to new situations and effecting measurable change.
• Experience in directing external consultants and advisors.
• Willingness to take a hands-on approach during implementation.
• Remote-based role with the ability to travel approximately 6–8 times per year.

• Preferred: leadership background in a credit or lending organization.
• Preferred: experience within a private equity firm, including preparing portfolio companies for exit.
• Preferred: direct experience with IPO-readiness or public offerings.
• Preferred: M&A transaction experience from origination to post-close integration in lending or financial services.
• Preferred: established relationships within the credit card, consumer lending, or broader fintech sector.
• Preferred: familiarity with a regulated financial services environment.
