Vice President – BioPharma

📋 Description

• Establish the vision, strategy, operational plan, and long-term growth objectives for Adaptive’s BioPharma division.

• Convert corporate priorities into a strategic roadmap to position the organization for achieving growth targets.

• Ensure an outstanding partner experience throughout clinical development initiatives.

• Oversee the execution of activities across Business Development, Alliance Management, and Client Data Management.

• Drive BioPharma business expansion in oncology and autoimmune diseases.

• Foster senior-level connections with executives in pharma and biotech.

• Identify and implement strategic initiatives that propel revenue and market growth, including CDx, Real-World Data, and commercial partnerships.

• Build a pipeline for autoimmune projects and provide input to Medical on strategies for evidence generation.

• Cultivate strategic customer partnerships to expedite new product development and enhance biopharma services.

• Lead alliance management efforts to ensure the long-term success of partnerships.

• Inspire, engage, coach, and develop a high-performing team.

• Manage the BioPharma commercial pipeline and revenue projections.

• Offer market, customer, and competitive insights to leadership.

• Collaborate with leaders from Commercial, Medical, R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Finance, and Legal.

• Supervise Client Data Management to guarantee timely, accurate, and high-quality MRD data delivery and reporting.

• Promote continuous improvement in processes, client experience, and operational efficiency.

• Direct the annual operating plan, budget, revenue forecasts, resource planning, and long-term growth priorities.

• Present executive-level business reviews, strategic recommendations, and portfolio updates.

• Monitor revenue, bookings, account retention, strategic plan execution, growth initiatives, portfolio health, customer satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 20 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 18 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 12 years of relevant experience; degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• Over 15 years of progressive experience in biopharma, biotechnology, diagnostics, clinical research, or life sciences, encompassing business development, alliance management, strategic partnerships, and/or key account management.

• Established relationships and credibility with senior-level professionals in pharma and biotech.

• Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, closing, and expanding complex commercial partnerships with biopharmaceutical and biotechnology firms.

• More than 10 years of experience managing strategic biopharma partnerships and leading alliance governance activities, including executive business reviews, steering committees, and cross-functional partnership management.

• Prior experience in a leadership role with a proven track record of recruiting, developing, and managing high-performing, customer-facing teams.

• Experience in supporting oncology clinical development programs, biomarker strategies, precision medicine initiatives, companion diagnostics, or related fields.

• Proven capability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence both internal and external stakeholders, including R&D, Commercial, Medical, Legal, Finance, Operations, and senior executive leadership.

• Strong skills in strategic thinking, communication, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving.

• Willingness to work global hours as necessary to support international customers.
