Veterinary Student Ambassador

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Act as a committed representative of the ASPCA at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

• Keep up-to-date with ASPCA student externship opportunities and available resources.

• Foster and maintain relationships with veterinary medicine students and campus student organizations.

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding ASPCA initiatives, veterinary training externships, available resources, and career pathways.

• Collaborate with the ASPCA Campus Relations Senior Manager on campus events and partnership opportunities.

• Support the logistical planning and implementation of campus and student-group events.

• Present opportunities to student organizations and promote forthcoming events.

• Create written communications about the ASPCA and its upcoming events.

• Maintain high academic standards and prioritize education.

• Adhere to school regulations and policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a veterinary medical student at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

• Maintain good academic standing.

• Strong alignment with the Mission and Core Values of the ASPCA.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the capability to establish relationships with peers.

• Active participation in at least one student group relevant to the core mission of the ASPCA.

• Not currently serving as a student ambassador for any other veterinary or animal welfare organization, non-profit, or company.

• Commitment to dedicating an average of 3 hours per week during the semester.

• Ability to work autonomously (self-starter).

• High degree of maturity and professionalism.

• Access to a computer for virtual meetings and email communication.

• Capacity to temporarily store informational and promotional materials on campus.

• Proficiency in English (required).

• High School Diploma (required).
