Veterinary Nurse

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Perform various nursing responsibilities, encompassing pre-operative and post-operative patient care.

• Assist veterinarians during consultations and medical procedures.

• Prepare for surgical operations and provide support in the operating theatre.

• Monitor anesthesia levels and aid in the recovery of patients.

• Collect and analyze pathology samples.

• Deliver medical nursing and care for hospitalized patients.

• Assist with minor medical procedures as needed.

• Provide dental nursing services and care for patients.

• Uphold high standards of hygiene throughout the clinic, including surgical areas and equipment.

• Manage client inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Support reception and administrative tasks when necessary.

• Contribute to the efficient daily operations of the clinic.

• Provide outstanding care for veterinary patients and their owners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or an equivalent qualification).

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in veterinary nursing.

• Proficient surgical nursing abilities.

• Confidence in monitoring anesthesia and providing patient care.

• Experience in both medical and hospital nursing settings.

• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

• Positive, proactive attitude with a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Team-oriented mindset with the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with RxWorks is preferred but not mandatory.
