Verification Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold constrained-random UVM testbenches for RTL blocks and full-chip validation.

• Develop functional coverage models along with coverage closure strategies.

• Generate and execute both directed and randomized test cases, with an emphasis on edge cases and protocol adherence.

• Troubleshoot simulation failures, ascertain root causes within the RTL, and work alongside designers to implement solutions.

• Create verification plans (VPlans) derived from microarchitecture specifications and monitor sign-off metrics.

• Enhance regression infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and develop scripts for EDA tool workflows.

• Engage in design reviews, specification assessments, and silicon bring-up processes.

• Validate the functional accuracy of intricate digital IP blocks and SoCs, collaborating with Design, Architecture, and Software teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree (B.Sc. / M.Sc. / Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in VLSI verification within an industrial setting.

• Strong command of SystemVerilog and the UVM methodology, encompassing environments, agents, sequences, and scoreboards.

• Proficient in the Specman language and methodology.

• Experience with simulation tools such as VCS, Xcelium, and ModelSim/Questa.

• Comprehensive understanding of digital design principles, RTL coding, and microarchitecture concepts.

• Knowledge of assertion-based verification (SVA) and Coverage-Driven Verification.

• Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Tcl for automation and workflow development.

• Advanced proficiency in English is required.
