Vantagepoint Systems Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the IT department to design, develop, and sustain automated bi-directional API integration between Rippling and Deltek Vantagepoint.

• Design and execute automated sales tax compliance workflows across multiple jurisdictions using Avalara and Vantagepoint.

• Review timesheet and expense workflows to implement the most effective system-of-record approach.

• Track employee “Work-In” locations at the timesheet level and synchronize this data with Rippling to ensure accurate payroll tax withholding.

• Resolve integration issues and data inconsistencies.

• Recognize inefficient processes and substitute them with efficient automated solutions.

• Standardize project numbering systems and Chart of Accounts groupings across various entities.

• Create SQL-based and Vantagepoint-native reports along with Power BI dashboards.

• Collaborate with Finance leadership regarding reporting and consolidation needs.

• Oversee Vantagepoint user IDs, security roles, permissions, workflows, approval hierarchies, and notifications.

• Offer daily support for Vantagepoint and manage enhancement requests.

• Document configurations, integration architectures, and standard operating procedures.

• Define, plan, and carry out ad hoc technical and process-improvement projects.

• Record project results and integrate new processes into standard operating procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• At least 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in administering Deltek Vantagepoint or a similar project-based ERP within a multi-company setting.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing multi-jurisdiction Work-In location tracking at the timesheet level and syncing it with Rippling.

• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience in creating custom reports within or alongside Vantagepoint.

• Familiarity with Chart of Accounts design, project numbering standards, and data mapping for multi-entity consolidation.

• Experience in managing system security, user roles, and workflow configurations within a Deltek ERP environment.

• Strong project management abilities for handling multiple concurrent, high-priority technical projects.

• Demonstrated success in identifying inefficient processes and achieving measurable ERP efficiency improvements.

• Excellent communication skills to convey technical requirements to Finance, Payroll, and HR stakeholders.

• Capability to manage large-scale, one-time system initiatives as needed.

• Hands-on expertise with API integrations between Deltek Vantagepoint and third-party HRIS/tax-engine platforms is preferred.

• Experience with Rippling and Avalara is strongly preferred.

• Experience with fiscal year-end conversions or similar one-time ERP initiatives is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Power BI, especially in developing dashboards from Vantagepoint back-end database tables, is strongly preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 5%, potentially to any or all 50 US states.
