This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Develop a learning system aimed at diminishing uncertainty early in the product development process.
• Integrate behavioral data, predictive techniques, simulations, artificial intelligence, experimentation, and research tailored to the decisions required.
• Establish methods for testing hypotheses and exploring experience directions before making substantial investments.
• Construct predictive models and simulations utilizing first-party behavioral data.
• Generate synthetic customer models for scenario testing and assumption validation.
• Leverage predictive signals to guide prioritization and discover valuable experimentation opportunities.
• Validate predictive techniques against actual customer behavior and established outcomes.
• Determine confidence levels, limitations, and suitable applications for predictive outputs.
• Examine discrepancies between predicted and actual behaviors as a source of learning.
• Consistently enhance models and methods as new evidence emerges.
• Merge behavioral signals with qualitative research to gain insights into customer behavior and motivations.
• Design research initiatives and experiments centered around decision-critical uncertainties.
• Translate complex evidence into clear insights for product and design teams.
• Develop tools and methodologies that make predictive insights accessible to those without modeling expertise.
• Provide guidance on where to investigate, experiment, invest, or pivot based on the strength of evidence.
• Foster organizational proficiency in evidence-based decision-making, experimentation, predictive techniques, and AI.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• Report to the Director of Product Design and collaborate across research, design, product, analytics, and data science.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Over 8 years of experience in UX research, behavioral science, data science, experimentation, or related fields, with substantial experience influencing digital product decisions.
• Proven experience in developing predictive, behavioral, simulation, or decision-support methods using first-party data.
• Strong foundation in applied statistics and experimentation, including causal inference, experimental design, and working explicitly with uncertainty.
• Proficiency in Python or R and SQL.
• Practical qualitative research experience.
• Ability to link behavioral evidence with customer motivations and context.
• Familiarity with AI applications across research, modeling, simulation, analysis, and prototyping.
• Experience in continuous discovery and delivery environments.
• Familiarity with digital analytics and experimentation platforms such as Quantum Metric, Amplitude, Adobe, Optimizely, or similar tools.
• Capability to convey complex methods and evidence in an understandable and actionable manner for senior product and business leaders.
