Senior Product Designer – TinyMCE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead cross-functional design projects from inception to execution, collaborating with product management to define challenges and outline design specifications.

• Assess design approaches through prototyping, critiques, and feedback from stakeholders.

• Facilitate consensus and make tradeoff decisions in collaboration with product, engineering, and design teams.

• Enhance interaction patterns, accessibility, and uniformity across the editor and its functionalities.

• Collaborate closely with engineers to understand feasibility and constraints, ensuring that the final product aligns with design intentions throughout the implementation process.

• Maintain and advance the TinyMCE design system, managing both design assets and their integration into code.

• Actively pinpoint experience gaps by gathering customer insights and researching industry trends and competitors, suggesting enhancements accordingly.

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs.

• Discuss implementation specifics, encompassing HTML, CSS, accessibility, keyboard navigation, and component architecture.

• Collaborate with engineers from the initial exploration phase through to product release.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product design working alongside software development teams, including involvement in cross-functional projects.

• Proven history of translating product objectives into UX strategies that yield measurable results.

• Experience in validating design directions through prototyping and receiving feedback from users or stakeholders.

• Strong skills in interaction design and information architecture for intricate, constraint-driven processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of current web technologies and their limitations, along with the ability to comprehend complex technical concepts to guide a design from conception to launch.

• Extensive knowledge of accessibility standards and their implications on design choices, particularly regarding keyboard navigation and focus behavior.

• Experience in maintaining and evolving design systems and modular designs.

• Proven ability to facilitate critiques, workshops, and align stakeholders, supported by strong communication skills.

• Availability for at least four working hours that overlap with the CET timezone.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.
