UX Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide the Product Design & Research team through a transformation anchored in AI and the codebase.

• Define a multi-quarter design vision across the platform and AI-driven product lines.

• Advocate for design investments at the executive level.

• Transition the operating model from a centralized ticket queue to decentralized pods integrated within product-line tracks.

• Empower designers to directly interact with the codebase and create interactive, implementation-accurate prototypes.

• Enhance collaboration between designers and product managers using AI to facilitate cross-functional speed.

• Oversee the design system as a foundational element to boost design and engineering efficiency.

• Champion B2B design excellence for intricate, data-rich, multi-persona enterprise workflows adhering to WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.

• Integrate research and behavioral analytics, including usability testing and tools like FullStory and Pendo, into the roadmap decision-making process.

• Recruit and develop the design team.

• Foster a culture of direct, kind, and constructive feedback with well-informed and assertive viewpoints.

• Report directly to the CPO and have a significant impact on product direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in UX or product design as a strong, assertive design leader who drives transformation.

• A proven history of establishing and executing design strategies at the organizational level, including recruiting and nurturing senior design talent.

• Background in B2B SaaS, rather than primarily consumer-focused roles.

• Practical expertise in AI-enhanced design workflows, including specific tools, processes, and resulting outputs.

• A demonstrated commitment to remaining up-to-date on AI-enabled design through training, peer networks, or professional cohorts.

• A clear perspective on addressing design and PM overlaps in an AI-focused workflow.

• Proven experience in developing and governing design systems as cross-team infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.

• Exceptional executive-level communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
