UX Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead the Product Design & Research division through a transformation that is rooted in AI and anchored in the codebase.

• Establish a multi-quarter design vision that spans the platform and AI-enhanced product lines.

• Advocate for design investment at the executive level.

• Transition the operating model from a centralized ticket system to decentralized pods integrated within product-line tracks.

• Empower designers to collaborate directly with the codebase, creating interactive and implementation-ready prototypes.

• Accelerate collaboration between designers and product managers by leveraging AI.

• Oversee the design system as a foundational element to enhance both design and engineering efficiency.

• Champion B2B design excellence in complex, data-rich, multi-persona enterprise workflows.

• Integrate research and behavioral analytics into decisions at the roadmap level.

• Recruit and develop the design team.

• Foster a direct, respectful, feedback-oriented culture that encourages strong viewpoints.

• Report directly to the CPO and shape the product's direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in UX or product design.

• Proven history of defining and implementing organizational-level design strategies, including hiring and nurturing senior design talent.

• Background in B2B SaaS.

• Practical knowledge of AI-enhanced design workflows, including associated tools, processes, and outputs.

• Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on AI-enabled design through training, cohorts, or peer networks.

• Clear perspective on addressing design/PM overlaps within an AI-driven workflow.

• Experience in developing and managing design systems as a cross-team resource.

• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities at the executive level.

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
