UX Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop engaging, intuitive, and accessible digital learning experiences.

• Utilize design and systems thinking to identify challenges, formulate hypotheses, synthesize research, and establish experience principles.

• Assist in planning and facilitating workshops, co-creation sessions, and collaborative activities.

• Convey design concepts through sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and presentations.

• Collect and integrate feedback from users, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.

• Collaborate with engineering on design specifications, feasibility assessments, sprint planning, and design quality reviews.

• Aid in executing and evolving a cohesive UX vision across various channels and products.

• Ensure that experiences are consistent, scalable, and user-focused.

• Keep up-to-date with UX tools, methods, technologies, trends, and best practices.

• Adapt to evolving project requirements and organizational priorities while keeping user needs at the forefront.

• Work alongside product managers, UX researchers, educators, curriculum designers, and developers.

• Leverage user feedback, research insights, and analytics to continuously enhance the learning experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience applying user-centered design principles to create intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences for a variety of audiences.

• Familiarity with research and data-driven design, including analyzing user or learner feedback and using insights to guide design choices.

• Understanding of learning management systems, content management systems, structured content, APIs, databases, and dynamic systems.

• Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

• Solid foundation in color theory, typography, layout, composition, prototyping, and scalable design systems.

• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities, including the capacity to clearly explain complex design concepts.

• Experience in documenting interaction designs, including user flows, states, and edge cases, to support precise implementation by engineering teams.

• Collaborative, inquisitive, and adaptable problem-solving approach.

• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A portfolio showcasing practical experience in modern UX and digital product design.

• One to two years of experience in digital product design and cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience in creating prototypes and utilizing research or data to inform design decisions and iterations.

• Must reside and work within the United States.

• Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.

• Must fulfill applicable pre-employment screening requirements.
