Utility Data Entry Specialist – Central Time-based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Review and process a large volume of addresses to identify the appropriate utility providers for internet, electricity, water, gas, and waste management services.

• Accurately input utility provider details into a specified database.

• Verify the entered information and rectify any discrepancies.

• Perform online research to locate and confirm utility provider details.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure data consistency and integrity.

• Safeguard the confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

• Generate and update reports as necessary.

• Make phone calls to providers to confirm the accuracy of their information.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Prior experience in data entry, research, or a related field is preferred.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry tasks.

• Fast and precise typing skills, along with experience in using data entry software or systems.

• Capability to conduct online research to find accurate utility provider details.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).

• Familiarity with database management systems.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to verify and validate data.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage time effectively and handle a significant volume of work efficiently.

• Capacity to work independently and quickly adapt to new processes and tools.

• Familiarity with utility services and providers is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or mapping tools.

• Experience working with utility companies or in a related industry.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Must provide personal equipment, such as a laptop or personal computer, meeting the required technical specifications.

• Must be capable of handling repetitive tasks and maintaining focus over extended periods.

• Must be able to work remotely from Mexico or a location within 2 hours of the US Central Time Zone.
