Data Entry Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute 10-key data entry for clients following mid-level instructions.

• Input, amend, and verify both alpha and numeric data from checks, coupons, and invoices derived from images or physical documents.

• Enter legal amounts, courtesy amounts, account numbers, invoice numbers, and scanlines accurately.

• Confirm payee names and assess check type decisions.

• Manage exceptions by investigating customer payment discrepancies and rectifying out-of-balance situations.

• Conduct lookups by accessing client databases and customer accounts to ascertain and verify the correct accounts for payment postings.

• Adhere to client protocols while accomplishing rigorous deadlines, output, and accuracy benchmarks.

• Safeguard potentially sensitive HIPAA and personally identifiable information (PII) in compliance with Deluxe's confidentiality and security guidelines.

• Fundamental computer skills are necessary.

• Familiarity with systems, processes, and client specifications is required.

• Capability to investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies and out-of-balance situations.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes and learn new processes as the business progresses.

• Proficient in working independently.

• Must meet established Deluxe standards for accuracy and speed in all relevant areas.

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

• One year of relevant experience is preferred.

• 10-key experience is strongly preferred.

• A typing speed of 8,500–9,500 strokes per hour is strongly preferred.
