USDA Loan Closer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary liaison for the Bank throughout the USDA loan closing process.

• Oversee the pipeline of USDA loan closings from the point of approval to funding.

• Gather, assess, and confirm all necessary documentation for closing.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and precise closings.

• Work alongside legal counsel to prepare, review, and finalize loan documentation.

• Track closing schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective measures.

• Review loan approvals and commitment terms to ensure accuracy in closing documents.

• Provide updates on status, address issues, and escalate concerns regarding risks or borrower responsiveness.

• Ensure that collateral, title, insurance, entity, and perfection requirements are fulfilled prior to funding.

• Coordinate post-closing delivery requirements and assist with loan sale and guarantee application processes.

• Maintain strong relationships with customers, USDA personnel, attorneys, and business partners.

• Help with training, mentoring, and providing subject matter expertise for the Closing Team.

• Contribute to process improvement, reporting, procedural documentation, and compliance initiatives.

• Execute additional duties and special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least five years of relevant experience.

• 2–3 years of experience in Government Guaranteed Lending closing.

• Understanding of USDA loan closing processes and program specifications.

• Capability to manage USDA loan closings from approval to funding.

• Proficiency in reviewing and validating USDA-specific eligibility, environmental, appraisal, collateral, and guarantee-related documentation.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with borrowers, guarantors, legal counsel, brokers, title companies, USDA representatives, and third-party vendors.

• Competence in ensuring compliance with USDA requirements, Bank credit approvals, and internal policies and practices.
