Mission Systems Supplier Quality Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of supplier quality certifications and compliance waivers.

• Refresh ERP systems with the expiration dates of supplier quality management system certifications.

• Update records pertaining to supplier or part number quality information.

• Work in collaboration with the Global Supplier Quality Compliance team to prioritize supplier evaluations and updates for Mission Systems.

• Analyze procedure updates and new releases to develop compliance gap matrices that highlight risks and instances of noncompliance.

• Assist site Quality teams by documenting instances of supplier nonconformance.

• Contribute to monthly metrics, customer presentations, and process enhancement initiatives.

• Monitor and assess process turnbacks, identifying significant areas for improvement.

• Lead or assist in product skip lot activities to alleviate incoming inspection backlogs.

• Submit escalation requests or workflows for urgent quality requirements.

• Acquire knowledge and apply aerospace and U.S. Government Quality Standards.

• Track and uphold ASL compliance throughout the supply chain.

• Cultivate project management skills while working remotely in a dynamic industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or possessing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or Technology.

• Must remain enrolled until the completion of the internship period.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.

• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and Continuous Improvement is preferred.

• Experience in managing projects, schedules, deliverables, or budgets is preferred.

• Security clearance is not necessary.
