πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Promote scientific excellence across both in-line business and the company's development pipeline.

β€’ Enhance field readiness for Scientific Exchange, Company Trials, Investigator-Sponsored Programs, Congresses, and Insights.

β€’ Oversee the execution of scientific and medical affairs strategies for Respiratory Diseases/Infections within the US.

β€’ Collaborate with regional cross-functional teams, offering US insights to Medical Affairs, prioritization, management, and value and implementation planning teams.

β€’ Work alongside Global Therapeutic Area teams and cross-functional partners to implement Value & Implementation Planning in the US.

β€’ Incorporate local insights into global scientific value content and plans for scientific exchange.

β€’ Support the local adoption of global scientific initiatives.

β€’ Lead coordinated local training programs and assess their effectiveness and application in the field.

β€’ Formulate and execute regional strategies that align with headquarters' Value & Implementation objectives.

β€’ Contribute to the integrated US Country Medical Affairs Plan, US Field Medical Plan, Field Engagement Plan, and field training plan.

β€’ Identify and prioritize US field resources, training requirements, and activities.

β€’ Create strategic scientific engagement plans that align with the global scientific communications framework.

β€’ Ensure that insights from advisory boards and field medical activities are acted upon and monitored for emerging trends.

β€’ Organize expert input events with scientific leaders and key stakeholders.

β€’ Manage patient support, education, and risk-management programs as necessary.

β€’ Coordinate and deliver regional training sessions with global and US stakeholders, along with subject-matter experts.

β€’ Share best practices across US Medical Affairs roles and teams.

β€’ Maintain consistent training standards, processes, and harmonization.

β€’ Provide insights into strategic congress priorities and engage in key scientific congress planning.

β€’ Monitor the healthcare landscape and emerging trends to fine-tune plans and field execution.

β€’ Assist with new-hire scientific foundational onboarding and verbalization processes.

β€’ Support the Investigator Studies Program through consultation, dissemination, training, and scientific review.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ An advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) relevant to the therapeutic area and recognized medical expertise in the Therapeutic Area.

β€’ At least 5 years of medical affairs experience or equivalent clinical/research experience.

β€’ Minimum of 3 years in the Therapeutic Area or a closely related Therapeutic Area within a clinical, research, or pharmaceutical context.

β€’ Demonstrated ability in strategic decision-making and planning.

β€’ Proven experience in leading complex projects and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

β€’ Strong emotional intelligence.

β€’ Excellent networking and partnership abilities.

β€’ An agile mindset with a focus on driving continuous improvement.

β€’ Expertise in interpreting and communicating complex scientific concepts in both individual and group scenarios.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of the US healthcare system, national treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG compliance.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 40%.

β€’ Experience in Field Medical Affairs is preferred.

β€’ University-level teaching experience and an understanding of adult learning principles are preferred.

β€’ Familiarity with innovative pharmaceutical training platforms is preferred.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred.

β€’ Ability to rapidly assimilate new subject areas and independently tackle complex problems is preferred.

β€’ Must be a resident of the US or Puerto Rico.

β€’ Visa sponsorship is not available.

β€’ A valid driving license is not required.
