This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee the enterprise media strategy for both Patient and HCP audiences, encompassing brands, indications, and assets.
• Convert enterprise objectives, customer experience, brand, and indication priorities into effective media strategies.
• Create portfolio-level assessments of media opportunities, customer requirements, audience behaviors, channel dynamics, and investment priorities.
• Direct media planning throughout the customer journey, from disease education and pre-launch engagement to branded activation, conversion, and ongoing interaction.
• Establish benchmarks for media planning, activation, measurement, and optimization.
• Provide guidance on investment decisions and trade-offs across audiences, brands, indications, lifecycle stages, and channels.
• Counsel the Vice President of Patient Experience and Commercial leaders regarding media strategy, investment, performance, and new opportunities.
• Lead integrated media strategies that connect audience needs, customer journeys, brand goals, creative strategies, channel roles, and business outcomes.
• Implement audience-first planning utilizing customer insights, segmentation, and behavioral signals.
• Oversee the mix of channels and platforms across traditional, digital, programmatic, streaming, search, social, endemic, point-of-care, and emerging media.
• Define media KPIs, measurement frameworks, and performance expectations.
• Conduct performance reviews, optimizations, and prepare media recommendations for executives.
• Collaborate with Digital and Analytics teams on media data, technology, measurement, activation, and optimization.
• Manage strategic relationships with media agencies and external partners.
• Cultivate cross-functional partnerships among Commercial, Brand, Patient Experience, HCP Experience, Digital, CRM, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Procurement.
• Set up media standards, frameworks, tools, and operational practices.
• Assess emerging media platforms, technologies, AI, automation, search discovery, and AEO/GEO opportunities.
• Ensure that media capabilities develop in a compliant manner and at scale.
• Build media talent and enhance organizational capabilities.
• Promote customer-centricity, accountability, experimentation, learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• BA/BS degree is required.
• Approximately 12–15+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.
• Strong understanding of media strategy, planning, activation, and performance across Patient/DTC and HCP audiences.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise and portfolio-level media strategies across multiple brands, indications, customer segments, and lifecycle stages.
• Familiarity with customer journeys, audience segmentation, and omnichannel engagement.
• Knowledge of traditional, digital, programmatic, search, social, streaming, endemic, point-of-care, and emerging media channels.
• Experience with media investment strategies, portfolio prioritization, and strategic trade-offs.
• Strong analytical skills using customer insights, media performance data, and business outcomes.
• Understanding of healthcare media data, identity, privacy, measurement, and compliant audience activation.
• Capability to assess emerging technologies, AI-enabled features, and evolving media platforms.
• Strong leadership skills with agencies and partners.
• Experience leading within a matrix environment and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent executive communication and storytelling abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and compliance aspects in healthcare media.
• Willingness to travel based on business requirements.
• Experience in supporting product launches, pre-launch disease education, brand growth, and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience managing substantial media investments and strategic allocation decisions.
• Experience directing media agencies, technology partners, and external collaborators.
• Experience working collaboratively across Brand Marketing, Patient Experience, HCP Marketing, Digital, CRM, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Procurement.
• Experience in identifying and scaling new media capabilities, technologies, platforms, or innovative working methods.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior leaders.
