Ukrainian - English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specialized vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (specifically healthcare and medical). Training will be provided for this.

• Deliver all messages accurately and in full, without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Offer the highest standard of customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not required.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not essential.

• Awareness of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a bonus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
