UI Engineer / Mid-Level UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design contemporary, user-friendly, and responsive interfaces that meet product requirements.

• Transform UI designs and prototypes into functional code utilizing HTML, modern CSS, and Tailwind CSS.

• Create and improve visual components, aiding in the development and upkeep of the Design System.

• Ensure accurate alignment between design choices and their Front-End execution.

• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, Product Owners, and other team members.

• Engage in technical discussions regarding the development and enhancement of interfaces.

• Implement UX principles, usability heuristics, and fundamental design concepts.

• Leverage AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or comparable solutions to expedite prototyping and development.

• Play a role in standardizing and perpetually enhancing the visual experience of products.

• Evaluate and suggest enhancements for interface usability, accessibility, and consistency.

• Effectively advocate for design choices, presenting rationale based on UX principles and product requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience working as a UI Designer, UI Engineer, Front-End Designer, or in a comparable capacity.

• Established experience in the financial services sector, particularly with banks, fintechs, brokerages, or investment firms.

• Strong background in UI Design and the development of the visual aspects of web applications.

• Advanced proficiency in HTML and modern CSS.

• Advanced expertise in Tailwind CSS.

• Experience in creating responsive and adaptive interfaces.

• Familiarity with Git version control.

• Knowledge of Angular and/or React, especially for component integration and usage.

• Understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, and Gestalt principles.

• Capability to systematically justify and defend design decisions clearly.

• Proven experience showcased through a portfolio of projects and developed interfaces.

• Interest in and familiarity with AI tools relevant to development, such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar solutions.

• Proficiency in English.
