UI Artist, Implementor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute UI artwork and animations.

• Collaborate closely with UX designers and engineers to establish screens and animations.

• Design UI layouts and create high-fidelity graphics alongside the Lead Artist.

• Work with engineers to incorporate assets and animations while adhering to technical specifications for various platforms in the editor.

• Quickly iterate and devise solutions to design challenges while adhering to creative and artistic direction.

• Address and incorporate feedback from different departments to deliver a polished, bug-free user experience.

• Support the Lead Artist with essential tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in developing interactive interfaces within game engines or web-based UI tools.

• At least one published game title.

• An outstanding online portfolio showcasing examples of your 2D UI projects.

• A Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, or Illustration, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with Unity, Unreal, or other gaming engines.

• Capability to transform complex information into a user-friendly format.

• Solid understanding of art and animation principles and their application in game assets.

• Excellent visual design abilities, including composition, layout, typography, and color theory.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Ability to produce pixel-perfect designs.

• Capacity to take direction and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Advanced proficiency in 2D art software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, and After Effects.

• Applicants must currently reside in British Columbia, preferably in the greater Vancouver area.
