This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.
β’ Facilitate live, video-based Math tutoring sessions for small groups of students during after-school hours.
β’ Meet with the same group of students multiple times each week for 30β45-minute sessions over an 8β12-week program.
β’ Adhere to a consistent weekly schedule throughout the entire duration of the program.
β’ Prepare for each tutoring session utilizing provided lesson plans and materials.
β’ Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere.
β’ Establish rapport with students and promote active engagement.
β’ Tailor instructional methods to accommodate diverse student abilities, learning preferences, and requirements.
β’ Conduct ongoing informal assessments and modify support as needed.
β’ Provide consistent, high-quality tutoring that aligns with curriculum standards.
β’ Recognize and apply feedback from quality assurance evaluations.
β’ Collaborate with team members and communicate proactively through Slack.
β’ Tutor Math up to Grade 6.
β’ Dependable availability during after-school hours on all scheduled days for the complete program.
β’ Capability to tutor Math for elementary students in Grades 3β6.
β’ Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort in leading live virtual sessions.
β’ Demonstrated ability to engage students and foster rapport.
β’ Strong organizational skills, time management, and reliability.
β’ Flexibility in adapting to various student learning styles and needs.
β’ Reliable internet connection, webcam, microphone, and a distraction-free workspace.
β’ Openness to receiving feedback and a commitment to continuous improvement.
β’ Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.
β’ Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in education or tutoring.
β’ Preferred: Experience working with students in Grades 3 and above.
β’ Preferred: A degree in a relevant field.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with technology-enabled or remote instruction.
β’ Preferred: Ability to tutor at least one additional subject for middle and high school students in Grades 6β12.
β’ Approximately 4β5 hours per week on a fixed, consistent after-school schedule.
