This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +18 more states.
• Respond to incoming customer phone calls and document, identify, and resolve network and customer-specific issues.
• Oversee network surveillance systems and react to alarms and error conditions.
• Manage email communications and a phone queue, providing direct support calls for customers and vendors.
• Handle and resolve assigned incident tickets efficiently.
• Offer direct assistance to both internal and external customers to minimize service disruptions caused by network events.
• Execute complex troubleshooting, fault isolation, root cause analysis, and incident management for SS7, SIP, and Diameter signaling platforms, along with IPX and IP networks.
• Diagnose BGP peering and IP connectivity alarms.
• Troubleshoot Ethernet, DS0, DS1, DS3, and optical circuits and connectivity using switches, routers, STPs, DACS, DNX, DSRs, and various multiplexing equipment.
• Collaborate with TNS customers, telecommunications carriers, and equipment vendors.
• Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on network elements.
• Participate in rotating shifts to support 7x24x365 operations.
• Experience in a Network Operations Center or a comparable Operational Support environment in a technical support or engineering capacity.
• Familiarity with LTE technologies, including Diameter, S8, and S6a.
• Understanding of SIP message call flows and platform interworking.
• Proficient knowledge of IP networking technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Experience with Cisco IOS and JunOS.
• Background in troubleshooting IPX networks.
• Experience resolving BGP peering issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Familiarity with IP networking and WAN network protocols.
• Experience with telecommunications hardware, circuits, and digital cross-connect systems, including testing, activation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Basic proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Capacity to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• Direct experience with MetaSwitch Perimeta SBC is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Remedy and Salesforce, as well as monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, and Netreo.
• Understanding of the ITIL framework or holding ITIL foundation certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Must be available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
