This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +2 more countries.
• Oversee and coordinate the dispatch of assigned trucks across the East Coast, West Coast, and nationwide routes.
• Ensure ongoing communication with drivers regarding load assignments, pickup and delivery schedules, routes, delays, and operational concerns.
• Proactively search load boards and other resources for freight that aligns with each truck's location, equipment, timetable, and preferred routes.
• Negotiate rates with freight brokers to secure loads that are profitable.
• Reduce deadhead and empty miles by planning ahead and identifying subsequent loads.
• Organize pickups and deliveries, ensuring drivers are equipped with all necessary load information and documentation.
• Monitor trucks and shipments during transit, proactively addressing any delays or service challenges.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with brokers and transportation partners.
• Have a thorough understanding of regional freight markets, identifying strong and weak lanes.
• Support drivers facing issues while under load, quickly finding effective solutions.
• Maintain precise records of loads, drivers, rates, and operational details.
• Collaborate closely with Brothers Freight leadership to enhance fleet utilization, service quality, and profitability.
• At least 1 year of experience as a dispatcher in the U.S. trucking industry.
• Experience in actively sourcing and booking loads, rather than just tracking existing shipments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. geography, freight routes, and trucking operations.
• Familiarity with load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms.
• Ability to communicate professionally and assertively with drivers and freight brokers.
• Experience in negotiating freight rates is highly preferred.
• Capability to manage multiple trucks and competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a quick response to changes in loads, appointments, or driver schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of assigned trucks.
