This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland, +1 more country.
• Evaluate claim eligibility and outcomes by reviewing veterinary medical records, clinical notes, invoices, and policy details.
• Consistently and accurately apply policy language, claims guidelines, and established processes.
• Participate in the appeals process by conducting secondary claim reviews and clearly communicating the rationale for claim decisions in a professional manner.
• Investigate complex claim situations by gathering, validating, and interpreting relevant medical and policy data.
• Proactively identify and obtain missing or incomplete information from veterinary clinics, specialists, or pet owners.
• Communicate effectively with veterinary professionals, pet owners, and internal teams via phone and email regarding claim outcomes, status updates, and policy inquiries.
• Provide a positive, efficient, and empathetic experience for pet owners and veterinary partners.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation across various internal systems.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Offer ideas and feedback to enhance claims processes, workflows, and overall customer experience.
• Required: Professional working proficiency in English.
• Required: Professional fluency in German.
• Required: Professional fluency in French.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role within veterinary, animal health, pet insurance, or a related sector.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, common conditions, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
• Highly preferred: Experience working directly with clients or pet owners in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or animal health environment.
• Asset: Experience in reviewing medical records, supporting patient care, claims adjudication, or insurance operations.
• Proven ability to learn and navigate multiple systems, processes, and technologies effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to assess complex information, identify key details, and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer focus, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in challenging situations.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently across various systems.
