This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
• Evaluate claim eligibility and determine outcomes by reviewing veterinary medical records, clinical notes, invoices, and policy information.
• Consistently and accurately apply policy language, claims guidelines, and established processes.
• Engage in secondary claim reviews as part of the appeals process, articulating claim rationale in a clear and professional manner.
• Investigate intricate claim scenarios by gathering, validating, and interpreting pertinent medical and policy information.
• Identify and acquire missing or incomplete information by obtaining necessary documentation from veterinary clinics, specialists, or pet owners.
• Communicate with veterinary professionals, pet owners, and internal teams through phone and email regarding claim decisions, status updates, and policy inquiries.
• Ensure a positive, efficient, and empathetic experience for pet owners and veterinary partners.
• Maintain precise records and documentation across multiple internal systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide ideas and feedback aimed at improving claims processes, workflows, and customer experience.
• Required: Professional working proficiency in English.
• Required: Professional fluency in German.
• Required: Professional fluency in French.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer-facing role within veterinary, animal health, pet insurance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, common conditions, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
• Preferred: Experience working directly with clients or pet owners in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or animal health setting.
• Asset: Experience in reviewing medical records, supporting patient care, claims adjudication, or insurance operations.
• Proven ability to learn and navigate multiple systems, processes, and technologies effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other business software.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Ability to analyze complex information, pinpoint key details, and make informed decisions.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong customer focus, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in challenging situations.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently across various systems.
• Adaptable and resilient in a dynamic, evolving environment.
