Tricentis Tosca Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for the Tricentis Tosca tool, establishing the architecture for automation solutions and the usage standards embraced by the team.

• Install, configure, and manage the Tosca environment, which includes repositories, user permissions, licenses, DEX execution agents, and Test Data Service.

• Plan and execute Tosca integration with ALM tools like Azure DevOps and qTest, ensuring traceability across requirements, test cases, executions, and defects.

• Incorporate Tosca automated executions into CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

• Create complex automation scripts for various systems and Web and API interfaces, including conditional logic, exception handling, and reusable components.

• Establish guidelines for constructing Modules, TestCases, and ExecutionLists, as well as repository naming, versioning, and organization.

• Evaluate automation artifacts generated by the team.

• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and technical documentation, while offering daily support to promote best practices in Model-Based Test Automation.

• Assist leadership with automation strategies, effort estimation, and prioritization of scenarios.

• Define and track automation quality KPIs, such as coverage, success rate, and execution duration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the tool and its integrations, collaborating with the vendor’s support team when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated, solid experience in test automation utilizing Tricentis Tosca, particularly at the architecture and tool configuration levels.

• Experience in installing, configuring, and administering the Tosca environment, including multi-user repositories, DEX, Test Data Service, and licensing.

• Proven track record of integrating Tosca with ALM tools and CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Model-Based Test Automation methodology and Tosca’s architecture, encompassing Modules, TestCases, ExecutionLists, and Test Data Service.

• Proficient in developing complex automation scripts, including Web interface automation utilizing the X-Browser engine and API automation for REST/SOAP services using Tosca API Scan.

• Experience in providing technical training and mentorship to QA and automation professionals.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing test artifacts.

• Strong communication, teaching, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.

• Active Tricentis certifications are advantageous: Tricentis Automation Specialist Level 1 (AS1), Level 2 (AS2), and Test Data Specialist Level 1 (TDS1).

• Experience with other tools in the Tricentis suite, such as qTest and LiveCompare, is a plus.

• Background in automation within SAP environments, including S/4HANA and/or ECC, SAP FIORI, and SAP GUI, is beneficial.

• Knowledge of T-SQL for database data manipulation and validation is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
