This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Sales and Consulting teams to devise pursuit, solution, and sales strategies for substantial existing global clients.
• Facilitate discovery and assessment workshops with consulting, operations, and product teams to enhance client-account penetration.
• Develop and document technical and business solutions centered on transformation and re-platforming initiatives.
• Lead solution-development sessions and present technical solutions and business cases to diverse audiences.
• Engage with executive and senior-level stakeholders to secure approval for intricate solutions.
• Act as a trusted technology adviser by providing consultations and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product Management to influence product enhancements and technology roadmap modifications.
• Foster stability and innovation across clients' current and future operational states.
• Create solutions that align with client requirements and existing product offerings.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer sciences.
• Over 20 years of experience as an architect or in a similar role within the hosting and network sector, ideally with a service provider.
• More than 12 years of experience as a Modernization or Migration Architect, steering legacy system upgrades to new platforms while minimizing business disruption.
• Practical experience in Mainframe Application migration and legacy modernization projects.
• Over 15 years of robust expertise in COBOL, Natural, Adabas, Easytrieve, Db2, IMS, JCL, CICS, VSAM, RACF, z/OS, PL/I, and Assembler.
• Proven track record in managing projects throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated expertise in data migration and legacy data structures.
• Experience in assessing mainframe legacy applications and crafting modernization strategies.
• Development experience with contemporary Java and C# frameworks.
• Extensive proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, data analysis, and scalable backend solutions.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, as well as hybrid solutions.
• Ability to comprehend and utilize Artificial Intelligence and identify AI use cases for legacy modernization.
• Knowledge of hosting technologies, including compute, storage, backup, network, security, disaster recovery, DevOps, and IT governance.
• Understanding of the sales process for large and complex opportunities.
• Experience in crisis management and expectation management.
• Proficient in creating technical documentation.
• Skilled in MS Outlook, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and exhibit strong problem-solving abilities.
