This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead the Guided Setup for complex and strategically significant enterprise accounts, focusing on data warehouse/repository configuration, SSO, RBAC/SCIM, and user access milestones.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for issues related to PrivateLink, OAuth, SSO, networking, and identity.
• Collaborate with customer technical stakeholders and administrators to evaluate environments, identify risks, and facilitate successful configurations.
• Proactively anticipate obstacles and formulate resolution plans.
• Make scoping decisions regarding Guided Setup, Customer Solutions Engineering, Product, and post-onboarding activities.
• Ensure that complex engagements adhere to customer experience, documentation, and technical quality standards.
• Mentor and coach members of the Cloud Onboarding Architect I/II team.
• Enhance setup checklists, playbooks, kickoff materials, troubleshooting guidance, and internal documentation.
• Transform engagement patterns into repeatable processes, tools, documentation, or product feedback.
• Address recurring setup blockers by driving them towards documentation, process improvements, enablement, or product resolutions.
• Represent setup in discussions with Engineering, Product, and Design regarding bugs, feature requests, onboarding user experience, PrivateLink, and network architecture.
• Collaborate with Customer Solutions Engineering and Training teams.
• Incorporate enterprise customer feedback into discussions on product usability, administration, security, and onboarding.
• Utilize data and customer insights to enhance setup time and activation readiness.
• Extensive hands-on experience with dbt (minimum 2-3 years) as an account administrator and data practitioner.
• Previous experience as a Cloud Onboarding Architect, Implementation Consultant, or in a directly equivalent role.
• Proficient administrative-level knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Proficient administrative-level knowledge of GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficient administrative-level knowledge of Okta, Entra ID, or Google identity providers, including SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
• Proven track record of mentoring or coaching less experienced colleagues.
• Capability to manage ambiguous, cross-functional issues and develop playbooks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to customize white-glove setup experiences based on account size and strategic significance.
• Strong customer judgment, balancing technical accuracy with timelines and business priorities.
• Experience with PrivateLink or secure connectivity is a plus.
• Experience in internal enablement or documentation is a plus.
• Familiarity with Rocketlane or similar project/time-tracking tools is a plus.
• dbt Architect certification is a plus.
