This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver exceptional training and technical support to enhance the capabilities of Tribal early childhood programs.
• Assist Regional Technical Assistance Specialists and the Training and Resource Development teams.
• Create and present training and technical support for Tribal CCDF grantees.
• Produce technical assistance materials on CCDF topics such as subsidy administration, health and safety, quality enhancement, supply building, construction and renovation, fiscal management, internal controls, emergency preparedness, and disaster relief and recovery.
• Compile a catalog of technical assistance services.
• Contribute to OCC priorities and special initiatives by producing issue briefs, handouts, brochures, presentation kits, and webinars.
• Design and implement national and cross-regional training sessions, webinars, peer learning groups, and communities of practice.
• Keep open lines of communication with TA Specialists, the Deputy Project Director, and the Project Director to organize effective training events.
• Collaborate with Training, TA, and project teams to strategize, develop, and execute TA activities.
• Review early childhood development resources and supply Tribal grantees with quarterly updated, hyperlinked resource directories.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of CCDF implementation requirements and create tailored resources and presentations.
• Draft a national Tribal TA strategy for OCC endorsement.
• Address information inquiries from Tribal Lead Agencies, OCC staff, TA providers, and other stakeholders.
• Craft and present content for regional Plan Preprint Trainings as instructed.
• Support TA Specialists with specific technical assistance topics.
• Prioritize, create, and modify written TA materials for Tribal CCDF administrators.
• Monitor and report technical assistance activities in the Technical Assistance Tracker.
• Engage in and occasionally lead full-team and weekly SME & TA Team meetings.
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in early childhood services engaging with children and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.
• More than 5 years of experience providing training and technical assistance in early care and education.
• Excellent consultation, presentation, and facilitation capabilities.
• Familiarity with CCDF regulations and relevant federal, state, Tribal, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of child development practices and evidence-based early childhood quality improvement strategies.
• Capability to develop training and technical assistance materials.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Experience with E-learning, webinar, and project management tools such as Smartsheet.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Capacity to apply extensive knowledge of organizational processes and make independent judgments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and occasional overtime as required.
• Experience working with Federally recognized Tribes and Native communities is preferred.
• Familiarity with Native Language Revitalization and/or dual language programs is preferred.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and children's social-emotional requirements is preferred.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a CCDF/Head Start Program or a similar capacity is preferred.
• Experience providing training at State, Regional, or National Conferences/Meetings is preferred.
• Familiarity with state, Tribal, and/or national early care and education policies, regulations, and systems is preferred.
• Background in CCDF and/or other Tribal or state early learning program implementation is preferred.
• Experience in child care leadership, coordination, management systems, financial management, program integrity, health and safety standards, professional development strategies, monitoring, continuous quality improvement, provider licensing/approval, subsidy eligibility, consumer education, child curriculum, and assessment is preferred.
• Experience in building partnerships and leading collaborative committees, workgroups, or task forces is preferred.
