This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Facilitate and create top-notch training and technical assistance for Tribal early childhood programs.
• Assist TCBC staff in crafting culturally sensitive technical assistance for Tribal CCDF programs.
• Develop technical assistance that emphasizes CCDF administration, capacity building, and adherence to CCDF requirements.
• Support OCC priorities and special initiatives, including issue briefs, handouts, brochures, presentation kits, and webinars.
• Participate in or lead project workgroups.
• Create and revise the TCBC Resource Development Strategy.
• Preserve a library of approved templates and maintain an inventory of produced materials.
• Design, develop, distribute, and assess targeted and universal training events, encompassing in-person trainings, webinars, peer learning groups, and communities of practice.
• Utilize instructional design, adult learning principles, and Indigenous Storywork.
• Offer guidance to content developers regarding the OCC style guide.
• Collaborate with SMEs and team members to design and execute training events.
• Establish project timelines and monitor milestones, deadlines, resources, reviews, editing, 508 coding, and publication processes.
• Oversee event logistics, such as scheduling, registration, attendance tracking, and virtual platform management.
• Ensure resources adhere to the OCC Style Guide, approved templates, and 508 coding requirements.
• Review and edit content for voice, grammar, style, plain language, and clarity.
• Manage 508 coding and the final publication of materials on the OCC website.
• Administer updates to the OCC website based on the TCBC Work Plan.
• Maintain spreadsheets and systems for contact information related to reporting, project management, and training opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual TCBC reports.
• Create quarterly Resource Bulletins for Tribal CCDF grantees.
• Collaborate with ACF Early Childhood National Centers, CCTAN, SCBC, OHS Region XI, PATH, community organizations, childcare programs, and early childhood providers.
• Provide and facilitate remote and onsite technical assistance for CCDF grantees and partners.
• Engage in weekly Project Specialists Team and full-team calls.
• Execute plans and protocols in alignment with the TCBC Project Work Plan.
• Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Administration, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in early childhood services, working with children and families from varied cultural and economic backgrounds.
• More than 5 years of experience in providing training and technical assistance in early care and education.
• Exceptional consultation, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
• Familiarity with Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) regulations, Head Start performance standards, and relevant federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
• Capability to create training and technical assistance content.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in coordinating teams to set and monitor project plans, milestones, and timelines for deliverables.
• Knowledge of contemporary child development practices and research-based early childhood quality improvement methods and strategies.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams).
• Skilled in e-learning, webinar, and project management tools, including SmartSheet.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Capacity to apply comprehensive knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and act as a reliable resource for senior management.
• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and work limited overtime as required.
• Preferred experience working with Federally recognized Tribes and Native communities.
• Preferred deep understanding of American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
• Preferred experience in a leadership role within a CCDF/Head Start Program.
• Preferred experience delivering training at State, Regional, or National meetings and providing technical assistance to individual organizations.
• Preferred experience with policies, early care and education regulations, and systems, particularly CCDF and/or other Tribal/state early learning programs.
