Triage RN – Weekday Evening & Weekend Day

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver after-hours RN telephone triage support to hospice and home health patients and their caregivers.

• Communicate with compassion and sensitivity during challenging circumstances.

• Evaluate patient needs and offer suitable care instructions.

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.

• Record patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Commit to working two weekend days from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. MST.

• Engage in two weekdays from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. MST.

• Take on additional weeknight shifts as needed based on availability.

• Complete a four-week training program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active RN license in a compact state.

• A minimum of 4 years of clinical nursing experience is required.

• Preferred experience in home health, palliative care, med-surg, geriatrics, ICU, ER, and/or hospice care, but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish language skills are a plus.

• Familiarity with computers and telecommunications equipment is essential.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test as part of pre-employment screening.

• Must meet California RN Required Prerequisites for RN Examination and Endorsements.

• Must have at least 400 work hours in the past two years.

• Must utilize a personal computer that meets specified criteria.

• Stable internet connection; satellite broadband and mobile hotspots are not allowed.

• Webcam is required for the position.

• Operating system must be Windows 11 or Mac OS 15 (Sequoia) or newer.

• Computer specifications: CPU of 2.5 GHz and RAM of 6GB.

• Selected candidates are required to complete a brief skills assessment.
